Special moment in improving our day-to-day services
Temporary workers sign permanent contracts with Logistics
One of the main priorities we set in 2018 was further improving the day-to-day services we provide to growers and buyers, so we took on 183 temporary workers as permanent employees across our four sites to help optimise our logistics processes.
Investing in permanent jobs
The entire Royal FloraHolland team makes sure our services run smoothly every day and that we meet the agreed turnaround and delivery times. With our Logistics department handling progressively smaller transaction sizes, they can increase the number of operations per trolley – a process that calls for more staff. In addition to essential investments in new packaging and trolleys, we are therefore also investing in more permanent jobs. Hiring temporary workers boosted the logistics performance of FloraHolland, and a large number of these temps signed permanent contracts with the company in 2018.
